Profile:

Tim Fite grew up in the woods of Knowlton Township, NJ. Raised by parents who are both visual artists, he has been making music and visual art his entire life, influenced by the artwork of Miro, Dubuffet, and Romare Bearden and the music of Public Enemy, DeLaSoul, and Kwamé.

Fite’s creative output is prolific, and somehow defies categorization. His unique collage-like approach to creativity has yielded albums ranging in style from twang-pop to avant hip-hop, and artwork ranging from letterpress printing to video installation. While he's been at it a long time, he first caught our eye sporting the solid-red PF Center-Hi's in his video for the track "Bully." Turns out he's as much of a fan of ours as we are of his. We recently sat down with Tim to learn more about his take on life, creativity, and his love of monochromatic PF Flyers.
